Just kidding! I can't have everyone here at Camp Kathy, just my two nieces are invited this year. I sent the invitations to them on Tuesday, so I am sure they must have them by now. I hope they decide to come. (I do realize that as a former Girl Scout, I misspelled s'mores, and instead substituted the Girl Scout cookie "samoa"). I'm not sure they even like s'mores, but what Girl Scout wouldn't (and they are both in Girl Scouts)?
I created the invitation with chartreuse text weight paper, stamps, versamark (non-pigment ink pad), purple embossing powder, and of course my heat tool. The inspiration for the color scheme came from here (it's the fifth image down). I really like the way it turned out.
I have lots of things planned for the girls, but I also don't want every single day to be scheduled to the max. I want them to have down time to relax, read, or watch a movie. I am keeping things flexible, and in the end, if they aren't having a good time or feeling really homesick, I want them to be comfortable enough to say that and then I'll take them home. That's why there is an asterisk on the ending day.
This is the first year for Camp Kathy, and if it's successful, I plan to do it again next year.
