A New Monday & Wednesday Routine

Posting today from the campus — in one of the dining areas with lots of tables for students with conveniently located plugs for all of the electronic media that seem to accompany us everywhere these days.

It's also cool to people watch and see who's coming and going — definitely a good mix of people discussing all sorts of different topics, x + y = z, to marketing brands, to just gossip about what's going on.

I arrived here at 8:00 a.m. and won't leave until 8:00 p.m.  Definitely a LONG day, but worth it.  I have my first class from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and then I don't have a class until 2:00 p.m., and then I have three classes back to back.  So, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. I'll just hang out and study, eat lunch, post to my blog or whatever.  I really don't have time to drive home and back, which I'm sure I posted about on Monday…

One thing about studying the arts — there's a LOT of stuff involved — I have stuff for 4 classes photo paper, developing tanks, text books, camera backpack (with both my digital and film cameras), my laptop, cell phone, ear buds, etc.  All of this stuff is HEAVY and nowhere to store it all except in the car.  There are lockers here, but they are reserved for the music students :-(  I have to carry my photo paper (for developing black and white and color prints) around because it is extremely sensitive to heat and with the temperatures topping out in the low 90s today, the heat will ruin the paper.

So, it's back and forth all day long to the car to exchange stuff in and out for class.  I think I'm going to need a rolling backpack or suitcase to handle the amount of stuff I need to cart around all day.  I'm sure I'll get a system going in the next week or so…
