I was reading Mary Ann Moss’s blog, Dispatch from LA, and she had a link to a video of one of my favorite illustrators, Danny Gregory, who began sketching as a way to cope when his wife was hit by a subway car in New York City and left paralyzed from the waist down. His book, Everyday Matters, is an excellent read (and a book that Mary Ann recommended). I also have his book, The Creative License, Giving Yourself Permission to be the Artist You Truly Are, which was recommended by Ali Edwards. Here is the video. It is absolute inspiration.
I am still working on my shadow box, and will hopefully have photos for tomorrow. I am also working on this year’s Camp Kathy invitation and struggling a bit with the theme. I will also post that bit of creative genius when it’s done.
Now it’s back to work for me.
