Today is the first day of the fall semester. I have an early class from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and then three classes back to back from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. I'm not sure how I'm going navigate being gone 12 hours every Monday and Wednesday because I am sure on most days I'm not going to be able to drive the 40 to 45 minutes each way to go home during the three hour break between my first class and the last three. Today I was able to come home because my first class let out at 9:45 a.m.
Another huge issue is going to be parking. I understand enrollment at Anne Arundel Community College has increased 25 percent since last fall due to the economy. Therefore, parking is at a premium and there isn't enough parking spaces for the number of people who need them, which sucks. People are opting to complete their core courses at the community college level where it's much cheaper and then transferring to a four year university. Here's hoping I can find a parking space in time for my 2:00 p.m. class, and then the other two classes are on the total opposite side of the campus — so I'm going to park where the last two classes are and walk to my 2:00 p.m. and that way I'll get in some MUCH needed extra cardio.
Also making some BIG changes in diet and lifestyle. I'm feeling the effects of not eating right or working out regularly and my clothes are reflecting that. Time to get busy in more ways than one. I am just one of those people where weight is ALWAYS going to be an issue. I just need to accept that as my "thing" in this life that will continually haunt me.
Anyway, Happy New Beginnings! I'm excited and motivated. (At least for right now, ask me again in a couple of hours, and I'm sure I'll have a totally different perspective).,,,
