When I got up this morning, this is what I found out in the living room… (besides the pouring rain)
Is there anything cuter?
I didn’t think so.
Little Jack Bates was sitting in his car seat, happily fed and awake.
I got packed up and in spite of the rain was determined to do some sightseeing today.
I headed up to Acadia National Park.
Look what I found in New Hampshire – cheap liquor – too good to pass up…
It poured down rain all day long.
The temperature hovered between 59 and 60 degrees all day long.
This is the middle of June.
In spite of my best efforts, I found myself feeling less than cheerful.
I need sunshine and warm weather – I really get down after many days in a row of gloomy weather (like it’s been most of the time I’ve been here except for yesterday and Friday afternoon).
I got to Acadia National Park about 4:30 p.m. I dodged the rain drops to get the photo of the sign.
This place is beautiful.
I am sure it is even more beautiful in the sunshine.
A rock covered with moss and, of course, rain drops…
A pretty covered bridge. I stopped in the middle of the road and took the photo through the windshield.
I am staying in Bar Harbor tonight, in hopes of better shooting opportunities in the morning, where the sun rises at 4:45 a.m.
Let’s hope the raindrops stay away…
And, even better Lonsome Dove on AMC.
I love Robert Duvall, and would marry him in a second, if he wasn't already married. I've always had a thing for older men.
Be thankful for good movies on cable on a rainy day…
