Spent some time this weekend photographing the butterflies.  Always one of my favorite things to photograph.

Annual Crape Myrtle Festival at Homestead Gardens.  Basically you collect “myrtle” money (which is 10% of all your purchases from mid-April to mid-July).  Then at the festival, you can use up to 50% of your myrtle money for purchases.  I bought a lot of stuff this year.  I’m building a butterfly and hummingbird garden in the back yard, and there’s lots of space for butterfly bushes and purple cone flowers.  While standing in line to pay for my purchases on Friday morning, a woman came up to me in a total random act of kindness and gave me $60 in myrtle money.  What a nice way to begin the weekend.

This week is going to be spent in organizing mode.  I have to go with it when I feel it for as long as it lasts.  There is also a lot of yard work that needs to be done — it’s just so darn hot out.  But I’ll get to it.
