This past weekend was about celebrations. My Aunt's 60th birthday party on Saturday, and my sister's baby shower on Sunday. It was great getting together with family, catching up with relatives I haven't seen in awhile, and enjoying good food and conversations. My mom and I had dueling cameras, each of us trying to capture "that moment" that summed up all of that particular celebration. The weather was perfect, too, with a warm front that brought spectacular temperatures in the 70s. I was pretty disappointed in my photos from the birthday party. I just didn't seem to capture the essence of the event or the people. I don't know why. The baby shower was a little better, however.
I wish my aunt many, many more birthday celebrations, and to my sister I hope the remainder of her pregnancy goes as smooth as the first seven months (with the exception of all the morning sickness at the beginning), and that Jack or Sarah is born healthy (which I sure he or she will be).
