Ali Edwards posted on her blog today, that it's been a year since the "Week in My Life" Project. She provided instructions on doing it again this year, however, she's not participating at this point. I think I'm going to document my life next week and see how it goes. I think this year, I'm going to go digital and maybe just do one page for each day — and print them out in 12" x 12" from Scrapbook Pictures, put it into an album and it's done. The instructions for the "Week in My Life" project can be found here.
I feel the need to do simple this year, because of school and I'm also participating in Ali's class through Big Picture Scrapbooking called Yesterday and Today. The class just started yesterday, so there's still time to sign up if you're interested, and it is a 12-week class, which will take me through the end of 2009. I can't believe another year is almost over! One of the activities Ali had us do was to brainstorm for 15 minutes about the stories we wanted to tell during the course of this class. What an eye opening experience. I discovered that there are still lots of stories I want to tell, some very personal and will be just for me, and others I'm willing to share with others, and include:
- My relationship with my Granny, and her own story (which is a great one).
- The Year 2004
- My dear friend, Elaine, who passed away too soon on September 29, 2004.
- Why right here and right now is a great time in my life.
- My house before and after.
What stories are you waiting to tell?
What's holding you back from documenting your own life's story?
