Drawing of a nude statute from class today. My teacher was very complimentary, and I can't believe I drew this myself! Anyone can draw, it's just a matter of studying lines and angles and objects moving in and out of space. I don't know that I'll pursue more advanced drawing courses, but it was great getting this introduction.
I've also fallen in love with black and white photography and developing film in the darkroom. Unfortunately, there isn't any more advanced courses in black and white beyond this introductory course. My photography teacher told me today that I can take her class again (pay for it although I won't get credit) and she'll teach me more advanced printing techniques, such as developing pictures on fiber paper. I can use the darkroom to develop my own photo projects. The only drawback is that the class is going to be on Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m, which is a little early, but it will be so worth it. There is also a color film class available that my teacher is teaching next semester, but I'm not going to commit to new classes next semester. I'm planning to do some traveling next year and I'll miss too much classroom/darkroom time.
Dexter playing hide and go seek on top of the shelf in my plant window. So cute…
As we prepare for tomorrow's day of giving thanks, I wish everyone safe travels and a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.
