Experimenting with Alcohol Inks

“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.  Art is knowing which ones to keep.”  ~ Scott Adams

This weekend I spent some time experimenting with alcohol inks with ideas from Tim Holtz’s blog.  I had all of the supplies on hand except for the mini spray bottles!  I have always admired Tim’s work, and he will be teaching one of the class segments at Creating Keepsakes University in Houston.  CKU Houston takes place June 4-7, 2008 and is basically "scrapbooking school" for three days.  You learn lots of new techniques (hopefully), meet some scrapbooking celebrities (such as Ali Edwards and Tim Holtz), and make some new friends.  I have a lot of homework to do before I leave for Houston (i.e. scanning in photos to bring with me for the projects I’ll be working on).

Today I’m headed on a mini field trip to Baltimore with my camera to do some shooting — Baltimore is less than 50 miles from home but it’s a place I haven’t explored very much, and I’m looking forward to doing all of the tourist stuff.

I’m also working on my Daisy page FINALLY.  It’s not quite ready yet, but hopefully, I’ll  have it finished in time for tomorrow’s post.
