Hello 2013!

It has been FOREVER since I last blogged.  I miss it SO much.  Right now, the blog is going to remain private, with a password, but within the next few months after I tweak some things and give the blog a much needed makeover, it is going public bigger and better than ever.

2012 was quite an eventful year.  I always feel a little melancholy saying goodbye to the year, I almost feel as if I was just getting comfortable and settled with one year, and here you go, time for another one already.

Today, I went to North Beach, MD to the Polar Bear Plunge, with my friend, Nanette:

While it was about 45 degrees and no wind today, there is NO way I would ever do this.  It's just too darn cold!

Not for the faint of heart (like me).

Nanette and I.

On the way back to Nanette's house, we stopped in to a little shop where this man had an entire train village set up.  It was so awesome to see all of the hard work this man has put into the train project, and there were interactive switches you could press to see different effects.  He is so proud of his work, as he should be.

Back at Nanette's we had Black Eyed Pea Dip (because eating black eyed peas on New Year's Day brings you luck all year), and Paula Deen's Courage Chili

Then, back at home to relax and reflect on the beginnings of a New Year.

I'm so glad to be back and will do my best to post regularly with good content.

Thanks for reading.  I look forward to your feedback.

The decorations start coming down tomorrow.

Happy New Year, everyone!
