Just. Being. Still.

(This photo taken July 10, 2010).

I called my friend, Yvonne (the one I went to Ireland with), the other day to catch up, and I was talking so fast about so many different things, she quite innocently asked if I was experiencing a manic moment.

Who?  Me?

Yes, you. she repled.  You ALWAYS have something going on.

I replied, “Doesn’t everyone?”

“No, they don’t”

She suggested being still with myself, just for a little while.  You don’t always HAVE to have something going on.

There have been times in my life where I have taken the opportunity to meditate, or to journal about what was going on, to write about what I am grateful for, to reflect on the absolute goodness of this moment in time.

But lately, not so much.

So, back to the drawing board, and crossing some things off of my do-to list.

Thanks, Yvonne ♥

P.S.  I need my colored pencils back 🙂

  1. Good for you! I feel like I’ve told you that a million times!

  2. Lol…I loved the post there..I have Manic episodes my self or as the kids say, diarrhea of the mouth, other times…not a word from me but that’s becoming less and less!
Great to see I’m not the only one 🙂
The Butterfly is Beautiful. I now do, what I call “Lupus Gardening”….I garden at night, with the exception of too much watering. It’s quiet, the glow from the sun spot lights..and tranquility! I feel so relaxed just going outside at night, when everything is still and peaceful.
Try Lupus Gardening, everything looks just as Beautiful at night as it does during the Daylight!
