This is an all digital page I completed yesterday in Photoshop. The title of the page I scraplifted from a layout in the August/September 2008 issue of Digital Scrapbooking. That title fits perfectly. Kids grow up so fast — Ashley is turning 3 this weekend, and it seems like it was just yesterday that she was born. I remember exactly where I was when my mom called to say she was born. I was in Chicago in a park on Lake Michigan across from the W Hotel. I went to Marshall Fields later that day and bought her an outfit and cute letters that spelled her name.
Scrapbooking allows us to freeze these moments in time. It doesn't need to take hours to complete a page. For this page, digital was the easier way for me to get the memories together into a cohesive page without spending hours in the process. I knew I wanted the photos of her little hands and feet to compliment the beautiful photograph of her face. (So loving those blue fingernails and toenails!)
Have a great weekend, and do something creative. As for me, I'm going to a fairy princess birthday party on Saturday 😉
