This is my Project Life for Week 13. I included an insert to show the two invitations I got for an event on the same day :(. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend my girlfriend's daughter's bridal shower (but I did send a gift). I did go to Belle's 2nd birthday party.
My approach is to Project Life super simple. Photos with words or not (done in Photoshop CS4), and journaling cards, typewritten and handwritten. I also make my own handwritten digital elements and use my Silhouette SD to cut them out. Notice the word "Spring" in the first photo above on the pansies. I created that using my Wacom Tablet and the accompanying pen and create my word art in Photoshop using the brush tool. Ali Edwards explains how she uses her handwritten digital elements to create a Silhouette cut out here. (Ali's handwritten words are available for purchse through Designer Digitals). I like my own handwriting, and that's what I want to see on my pages. Once I am satisfied with my word art, I save it, and follow the same steps as Ali for cutting it out using the Silhouette.
I am really liking Project Life 🙂 Some of the photos also create opportunities for specific blog posts, which is awesome.
