Slow and Steady

Some of the tools in my "toolbox" these days….

My word for 2011 is Simplify.  Simplify my life, which entails simplifying the way I live, work and relate.  I don’t want things to be more complicated than they need to be.  I want to move more and eat less, I want to be healthier in the choices I make in relation to food and in the things I buy (food related and otherwise).

I realize that change doesn’t come overnight, so how I am looking at this transition (especially the one that relates to what I’m eating and how much I’m moving) is slow and steady.  There is no race here, no big grand prize (like on the Biggest Loser), the prize is keeping your momentum and watch the results.

This also applies to my work life, getting my photography business up and running, showing more of my photography in different venues, and expanding (a little bit) on what I sell to include cards, postcards, and handmade books.  Slow and steady (but still moving forward).

I’m also conscious of grabbing a camera every chance I get and getting out there and taking photographs, and perfecting my craft, one photograph at a time.

And speaking of slow and steady, January is almost a memory, one cold month down, two to go.
