Somewhere in South Texas

This photo was taken in Albuquerque.  I had other photos to share, but they were taking WAY too long to upload on this hotel's Wi-Fi.  Mom and I are somewhere in South Texas between Guadalupe National Park and Big Bend National Park.  The plan is to get up early, drive through Big Bend and head to San Antonio.

We left Santa Fe this morning and went to Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Guadalupe National Park.  It is desolate although beautiful country.  The speed limit on the 2 lane roads here is 75 mph.  It is so BIG out here, and wide open.  I am always amazed at how big and open the West is.  I love it.  There isn't nearly the traffic we have back home.  On some stretches of road here, we were the only car for miles and miles.

Carlsbad Caverns was amazing.  A MUST see.  Jaw dropping.

Going to sleep now.  Another REALLY long day ahead tomorrow.
