Two Total Splurges

I love Anthroplogie.  I especially love their dresses.  However, most of them are over $100, and while I love to admire them, I haven't ever felt the overwhelming desire to purchase one.

Until yesterday.

I just LOVE this dress.  It is SO me.  I just kept staring at it, and the sales lady asked me if I wanted to try it on.  No, I said wistfully, there isn't one in my size.  She checked in the back, and there wasn't one in my size, so she suggested I order it from customer service and have it shipped (for free) to my house.

So, I ordered it, it has shipped, and I just hope it fits.

And, my other splurge purchase:

The Silhouette SD Electronic Cutting Tool.  It connects to your computer, and uses the fonts already on your computer.  You can use the machine to create banners, borders, scrapbook pages, vinyl lettering, glass etching, wall and car decals, heat transfer clothing, fabric applique, signs and labels.  The Silhouette comes with 50 digital designs and you can purchase more online, and they also offer free downloads as well.  I purchased my Silhouette at Paper Source and was able to use my employee discount (sweet).  However, I also found them online for about the same price I paid with my discount.

Looking forward to getting the Silhouette set up and experimenting with the different features.  I'll do another post on the Silhouette in the near future.
